Rhetorical Devices in Speech Essay Example

Rhetorical Devices in Speech Paper How does Obama use Rhetorical Devices In his speech effectively to engage his audience? Throughout Beams speech he uses many different examples of rhetorical devices such as alliteration, personification, trial, allusion and an Inclusive pronoun. Alliteration is used effectively In Beams speech. An example would be depths of despair to the greatest heights of hope. The fact that he goes from the worst to the best corrects the listeners minds and provides an Insight Into Just how good things are going for America In Beams eyes. It proves how far theyve come ND gives the listeners hope for even greater things to come In the future. The use of the word despair suggests that there was very little hope for Americas future In the past and reinforces how bad things must have been for them. To then use the word hope suggests bigger and better things to come, it implies the listener that the best is not here yet and there is a lot more to come and although they have already came so far they are still yet to reach the greatness the country is impending. Personification is also used effectively. An example of this would be we care so strongly about its future. In this example Obama is talking about America as a country and referring to it as if it is a real life person. The fact he does this gives likeness and attributes of life to the country, and makes it seem unstoppable in a way as Just like a person, America will keep moving forward and develop new ways of doing things and dealing with situations. Personification is much used in visual arts, so Obama using it in this beech works effectively as it immediately makes the audience picture America in their brains and focus on its future rather than its past. The word strongly has synonyms like able, tough, powerful and Vigorous so it seems the perfect word for Obama to use as it not only makes the people of America feel stronger and more united as a country but also makes them believe they can overcome their past and can move forward and achieve all their goals in the future. By using personification Obama animates a lifeless thing; America which creates excitement In the audience s they feel it isnt the end for Americas and again there are greater things to come. Obama also uses Triad in his speech. An example would be we believe In a generous America; In a compassionate America; In a tolerant America. This Is effective as It almost leads to a climax within the audience as each thing he lists that they believe In seems to get better and more appealing to the people. The fact he uses triad makes his message stand out more and become more memorable In the audiences minds. It allows a speaker to express a concept, emphasize It, and then make It memorable. It also makes the audience more trustworthy of Obama as a leader as It shows he doesnt have one singular goal for America and he Isnt looking to Improve lust one thing. They may feel motivated for change as Obama uses such effective words wanly all link together Ana gall almost give America a Tie as en careless ten country the same way you would a person, which may make the audience feel like one with each other and for America to be all these things they must become these things themselves. Allusion is another effective rhetorical device in Beams speech. An example of this is Tonight more than 200 years after a former colony won the right to determine its own destiny. This works well during his speech as he is convincing America how greater things are to come regardless of the great things that have happened for the country so far. The fact he uses this allusion almost proves to the audience Just how much things may change for the good of America as long ago they couldnt even determine their own destiny this makes them believe Just how much of an impact they can have on their own future. He simplifies the idea of hang by using a well-known story to explain Just how greatly things may change for the country. This makes the audience even more hopeful and prepared for the changes to come in the future of their country. Lastly the use of inclusive pronouns works very effectively. An example would be it moves forward because of you. This implies that without the people, America would be nothing and would be at a standstill. This not only makes the audience feel worthy but also as if they all have a role to play in order to keep America together and as one. The use of the word you addresses the mass audience as though they were individuals having a one on one conversation with Obama, by doing this he keeps the whole audience engaged and interested in what he has to say. To conclude it is clear that Obama uses a variety of different rhetorical devices in order to keep his audience engaged and pleased with his speech. He uses all effectively and manages to make the mass audience still feel like an individual by his use of rhetorical devices. Each rhetorical device creates a different impact or emotion on the audience whether it be individuality, worth, important or trust.

Health Care Management Error Essays

Health Care Management Error Essays Health Care Management Error Paper Health Care Management Error Paper Abstract On page 80 of our text book Health Organizations: Theory, Behavior and Development by James A. Johnson, is a bulleted list that contains possible Health Care errors that can have a negative effect on the organization. From my readings for week one I will describe why each of them may be considered an error and then finally I will explain how I might avoid these errors which is from my readings for this week (week one). It will also contain a minimum of three scholarly references. Health Care Management Error Failing to account for employees’ ability to learn safe machine operation methods by experimenting on their own with ways to speed up production and thereby reduce the effort they required to use. The problem here is that the manager failed to pay attention to what was happening which would be called â€Å"controlling and observing† according to our text book Health Organization’s: Theory, Behavior, Devlopment. James A. Johnson I think controlling was best described as â€Å"is like a checkup to make sure what needs to be done is done. † Principles of long-term health care administration By Peter J. Buttaro, Emily L. H. Buttaro Putting all employees through the same orientation program is an error of emergence. This is science complexity. According to an article I read at Annals of family medicine â€Å"Emergence cannot be tracked back to a particular cause. For example interactions between patients and physicians have emergent properties that are not determined by the patient or the doctor, but develop through their interchange. † annfammed. org/content/5/4/377. full Furthermore by putting in all employees can cause a conflict due to their potion in the health care in the organization. Not everyone has the same position and there for it would have nothing to do with them. Trying to discipline one employee and expecting a modest change in this employees behavior but is getting a massive union response would show an error in issues of power. The reason for this this employee may not be able or is unwilling to change their behavior. The manager instead of trying to aim for one person should team this person up with someone alts to show him the ropes. Managers should not change a work process without considering the role of all communities of practice on the work performance because inevitability of change. This is to mean stability is a state is futile or everyone is on the same page. Never assume that employees will not relocate work assignments based on their perception of the best arrangement even after receiving work allocation assignments from management this is learning and knowing situation. Never assume anything being you do not know for a fact. A manager that ignores the speed with which the informal organization can transmit messages and therefore failing to manage rumors in a productive manner are agents that needs to find a salutation to rectify the problem. The information systems (computer) is for email and work related not to send personal information to another employee. It is up to the manager to address this because they are the agent. It is considered that uncertainty reduction and uncertainty absorption is being neglected when the manager fails to treat the organization‘s dominant logic as emergent property of the system and instead of treating it as something that can be imposed on the system because they failed to collect the information so they could understand it more clearly. A manager that is looking for one bad apple in a group as strategy for improving work quality, when the quality of output maybe be in emergent property of the group is wrong because this is where uncertainty and uncertainty absorption comes into play. I say this because what the risk maybe that employee sues them for wrongly discharging them. A manger that is conducting a careful market analysis to determine whether to release a new product but ignoring the fact that release of the new product may change the market in such a way as to make the market analysis incorrect is the inevitability of change because the CAS theory tells them that successful understanding are correct. For example if the manager doesn’t have the correct information then it mess up the market analysis and will get incorrect reading of where they their profits and loses are. When a manager offers a premium to internal workers for extra production without expecting the change in reward structure to affect relationships with suppliers they are planning and improvising. What the manager is doing is causing a conflict between the workers and suppliers. References Health Organization’s: Theory, Behavior, Devlopment. James A. Understanding the bible Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Understanding the bible - Essay Example The books of Kings were originally written by many people from the oral as well as the written traditions. In the written tradition, we should also include the palace annals including the Book of the Acts of Solomon, the Book of the Annals of the Kings of Israel. An extended narrative called the Succession Narrative about David’s reign might have contributed heavily towards the first two chapter of the beginning of the book. The story of Elijah, as well as that of his disciple Elisha, was originally oral. The book must have taken its form mainly during the eighth century BC and late seventh century BC. The book of Kings may be considered to be a part of the Deuteronomical history, including books of Joshua, Judges and Samuel. This is because the style of writing followed in the book is mainly as that of Deuteronomy. The book of kings is narrative, historiographical and didactical in nature. It tells the story, not the complete history and also tries to teach us its version of the Truth. The story gives importance on how and when such and such a monarch ruled, how he failed or succeeded in following the path of Israel [and Judah] as the chosen people of God, how they fought and won or faced defeat . The didacticism lies in reiterating that The Lord God of Israel is the only God and he controlled the weather, the whole of creation and history. The prophets describe the future before God brings it about. It is He and not the kings, or prophets or even the gods that the kings worship who is in control. This is the main theme of the two books of Kings (Coogan, Brettler, Newsom, & Pheme, 2007.). Another repeating theme in the book is that the wrongdoer is always punished. The image of God here is that of a judge and crimes are always punished. Even though the judgment may get held up but in time, without repentance it gradually comes upon the sinner [I kings 21. 25-28.] The books of Kings come right after the books of

Bipolar Disorder Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words - 8

Bipolar Disorder - Essay Example Experts have been unable to define a specific cure for bipolar disorder. However, certain agents are commonly used in managing the condition. Patients experiencing depression may rely on antidepressants such as Lexapro and Prozac. Usually, antidepressants have the capacity to increase the activity of the brain cells. In other cases, patients may rely on anti-manic agents when experiencing the manic episodes. However, anti-manic drugs are combined with lithium, an agent that prevents the recurrence of the different episodes. Researchers have highlighted that genetic factors contribute to the development of bipolar disorder. Certain factors that trigger the development of bipolar disorder may be inherited by the offspring from parents. Parents with the condition are likely to pass it to their children at a 25% probability. Neurochemical factors also contribute to the development of bipolar disorder. Specifically, neurotransmitters in certain parts of the brain may fail to function in t he normal way. In other cases, psychological factors may alter the functioning of neurotransmitters. Environmental factors such as traumatic events occurring in the early stages of life may also contribute to the development of bipolar disorder (Parachin, 2014). Notably, there are existing barriers to the treatment and management of bipolar disorder. The fact that there is no specific medication for the condition that works in every individual is one of the outstanding barriers.

Introduction to Philosophy Essay Example for Free

Introduction to Philosophy Essay 1. What are the main branches of philosophy? Do philosophers have the same answers to the same philosophical questions? Why? Philosophy is a way of thinking about the big questions in life, from the existence of men to its morality. It is an activity which sharpens our reason. The word was coined by Greeks , meaning â€Å"the love of wisdom†. Philosophy can be divided into six big issues it is interested with. * First, the question about the nature of the world and the existence of Men which is under the domain of Metaphysics or also called Ontology. From the word â€Å"meta† which means beyond and â€Å"physics† which means physical it deals about beyond physical world- the spiritual. It also attempt to answer the ultimate reality of life, our reason of very existence, Who and what God is and, how everything relates to it. * Second, what are the right ways to think and build arguments which is under the field of Logic. It tries to distinguish the valid reasons from the fallacies. It also examines the different general forms that argument may take. It is primarily studied in the disciplines of philosophy, mathematics, semantics, and science. * Third, How do we know and how do we think we know which is under the area of Epistemology. From the Greek words †episteme† which means knowledge and â€Å"logia† which means study, it basically deals on how do we acquire knowledge and what is the basis for true knowledge. * Fourth, Ethics which generally centers on the morality of our actions. It differentiates wrong from right and studies character’s actions based in his intentions. This field of Philosophy is vital and applied to other disciplines such as business, medicine, science, robotics, and education. * Fifth, Issues about laws, liberty, rights, property and , politics fall under the Political Philosophy. It is also one of the sub-fields of Political Science. Its purpose is to lay bare the fundamental problems and concepts which frames the study of Politics. It also studies the great thinkers of the past which shapes politics such as Socrates, Plato, Adam Smith and Hobbes. * Lastly, Aesthetics which deals on what is beautiful. Mainly it tries to answer questions which deals in art- music, painting, poetry, and such. It attempts to distinguish what is beautiful, what has taste, and what has artistic value. Philosophy can also be subdivided into three specific categories which are, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Language, and Philosophy of Science. These are branches which deal to questions their respective field of subject matters such as what exactly is a mind? how does language work? and Does science has responsibility to humanity? An Educator can ask a question to his students and would receive different responses . We can even expect complex answers to a simple question. It is because people view things in different perspectives, have different degree of intelligence, exposed to different environment, influenced by different people and ideas, and have personal insights and experiences which differ from one person to another. People thoughts varies and no idea can be of an exact match of another. In my opinion, Humans’ mind are like his fingerprint, We all have our fingerprints but its design- the curves and lines is unique in each individual. There might be similarities in ideas between individuals but in some point they contradict. For example, the two famous philosophers, John Locke and Thomas Hobbes both support the â€Å"Social Contract Theory† in which men enter a mutual agreement to surrender some of their liberty to authority in return of protection, both also, believe that men can exist without government and speak of its dangers in this kind of state-State of Nature. For Hobbes, the entire time that man is in a state of nature, he is in a state of war. He states that â€Å"if any two men cannot enjoy the same thing, they become enemies and in the way to their end†¦. endeavor to destroy or subdue one another† (Wootton, 158). Locke too points out risks, saying that without the â€Å"law of nature† everyone may execute decisions, leading to a state of war (Wootton, 290). However, despite of the similarities, Locke believes that people enter to social contract to seek peace and avoid the fear of death and living in State of Nature is brutish and chaotic while Hobbes believes that State of Nature is important and do exist in some ways such as among governments and leaders. Locke’s view on State of Nature is pessimistic in contrast to Hobbes which he thinks has some potential benefits. Philosophers do not have the same answer to a certain question. Each philosopher present different examples and take different stand on a certain idea. 2. Why has philosophy lost importance in the priorities of contemporary man? Philosophy had the paramount role during the ancient education. It created great and wise thinkers such as Socrates, Plato, and, Seneca and influenced bright minds such as Descartes, Adam Smith, and Karl Marx. Although the subject Philosophy is only introduce in higher level of studies in modern years, it diffuses its idea and being applied to core subjects such as mathematics, science, and language. Philosophy is still vital in learning until today. The decreasing value given in philosophy arises in the way modern man receive and gather information. Core subjects like Science should teach us to Inquire, to Analyze, to Think, and to Search- which are roles of philosophy but, Educators and with the convenience at reach, Students are being spoon-fed with facts from books and other resource materials instead of encouraging them to explore. They are bound with rules and regulations without giving them a chance to ask why they should follow orders. Students fail to analyze things because most Educators present facts and inculcate it to them through rote memorization instead of validating it. Learners learn facts but never learn to reason. They become man of knowledge but never become man of substance. The decreasing importance of philosophy in modern days is ascribed partly, to us Educators for failing to emphasize and apply its essence to the students. We teach the students to be dependent on the facts provided in books and internet, for we believe that it offers a vast amount of information forgetting that one’s mind can offer limitless insights on a certain topic. 3. Why should philosophy be restored to its former prominence in the priorities of contemporary man? Philosophy is vital in man’s learning and improvement. Giving answers to man’s most perplexed questions or even to the simplest question that bother us gives us sense of satisfaction and purpose in life. In modern times, Philosophy is essential in choosing decisions that has impact on our future such as career path, religion, core beliefs, and even to work or business. Philosophy should never be undermine and be restricted to as a mere subject. It is a way of thinking and essential in making a wise decision hence, should be integrated in daily living. 4. How does western philosophy differ from the eastern? In General, Western Philosophy promotes individualism and more interested in finding and validating the truth while Eastern Philosophy is more interested in finding the balance within ones self in order to live in harmony with others and thus promoting collectivism. Also, East philosophy which emerged in China is spiritual in nature as opposed to West which starts from Greece is naturalistic and subject to research. Individualism of the West gives meaning to the worth a person as an individual. It gives stress on liberty and self-reliance. â€Å"Man is directly a natural being. As a natural being and as a living natural being he is on the one hand endowed with natural powers, vital powers — he is an active natural being. These forces exist in him as tendencies and abilities — as instincts. On the other hand, as a natural, corporeal, sensuous objective being he is a suffering, conditioned and limited creature, like animals and plants. A being which does not have its nature outside itself is not a natural being, and plays no part in the system of nature. A being which has no object outside itself is not an objective being. â€Å" Marx, Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy in General (1844). â€Å"Self-expression is individuality, and our individuality is our self, which ought to be our chief concern† Ernest Dimnet (1928) The Art of Thinking p. 250 â€Å"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. † Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods (1854), chapter 18, p. 210. Collectivism of the East emphasizes the interdependence of individual among others. â€Å"If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself. † â€Å"Without feelings of respect, what is there to distinguish men from beasts? † Confucius â€Å"A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves. † â€Å"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. † Lao Tzu â€Å"The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence. † Rabindranath Tagore.

Alcoholism at home Essay -- essays research papers

Children who grow up In families In which parents abuse alcohol live in fear, suffer and “learn'; behavior that inhibit their future lives. Many parents are worried of what is happening with children, who face the fact of excessive drinking of alcohol. Parents from alcoholic families, but those who don’t drink are afraid that their children will inherit the addiction. Some parents are fearful of the destructive possibility and braking up of the family; others think that children don’t see anything. Many, because of children, consider what will be better for the child and when it will have claims: when the parents will divorce or when the family will tolerate the person who drinks. Some of these apprehensions have real reasons, other don’t. Against some opinion children from pathological families don’t have to be bad students (often times they are the best), they don’t have to succeed less than their friends from “normal'; families, they don’t have to be wobbly (many of them are active and pugnacious, and also resourceful and responsible). However, in this theory, there are theories and truths really important that we shouldn’t ignore, but we should get to know them and think of them. Children from alcoholic families experience everything more than their friends. They suffer more tense, anxiety, confusion and loneliness. These feelings favor the creation of defensive attitude. Alcoholism is more than just drinking alcohol. It is a long-drawn illness, caused by immoderate drinking, thinking about alcohol and losing control of consuming it. Even though many experts think that we can’t fight against alcoholism, we can limit it and get to abstinence. In some ways it is similar to a diabetic person. He can’t really win with the illness, but he can cooperate with his organism and avoid eating food that contains sugar. Similarly, an alcoholic person can’t realistically change the reaction of alcohol on his organism, but he can “meet'; his illness by putting away the alcohol. But it’s always easier to say than to do. An alcoholic person pretends that everything is fine, for example he says: “I’m not that bad';, “I drink because of my family';, “Who would not drink if he had such a boss a... ...r laden with toys, who takes his children for a walk is a good person in oppose to always tired and grouchy mother. But it’s about an alcoholic in the earliest stage of drinking – the more alcohol, the less spent time with children. Control and carry-over is tied with behavior of the parent who doesn’t drink, but who tries to control life of the whole family. It comes off from the sense of responsibility of a parent. Also fear controls everything. There is no doubt that in alcoholic families children are the ones who suffer the most. The situation that occurs in a dysfunctional family forces them to play different roles. These are very different ways of reacting to the world that comes off defensive manners against threat that comes from pathological family with alcoholic problem. No homeliness and support impede proper psychological development. Often the child thinks that the alcoholism and fights at home are the child’s fault. Self accusation helps them to control the situation. But in reality neither child, nor an adult can make adults become addicted to something (in this case alcohol), help them to stop drinking or cure the alcoholism.

Why Pursue a Master’s in Business Administration?

Pursuing a MBA will be able to prepare you for a lifetime of management responsibilities in a business. People choose to pursue a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) for a variety of reasons. Whether it is for an instant change in career path, future job development, justify a position/promotion, or to begin one’s personal business, pursing an MBA will provide someone with many rewards in a career and can expand their knowledge of controlling an industry and provide chances for employment, recognition, sponsorship and income increase. I decided to pursue an MBA to develop my business knowledge and enlarge my career options. I am a waitress in a full service restaurant and have been in the hospitality industry for about eight years. I am interested in furthering my career and exploring other options that has the potential to offer more financial benefits. I am not satisfied with just having a bachelor’s degree because over the years it has become equivalent to a high school diploma and that will not set me apart from my competitors. According to the gmatmbahelp website, having an MBA, which is recognized almost universally, will increase your ability to compete for jobs in more locations. One of the main reasons why people decide to pursue an MBA is because it frequently allows graduates to make a better salary. The common starting salary for MBA graduates is based on the number of years of work they have before starting their degree. However, it has been reported that some with less than three years of trade experience start out earning close to $70,000. This number rises severely as graduates build up additional practice in their fields. Having an MBA offers more financial possibilities than only having a Bachelors degree. At this time in my life I am uncertain of the career path I would like to take. I have little work experience and I am not sure of the industry I would like to pursue. But while I am seeking opportunities and different industries I think it is worth my while to gain a higher education. According to the Jungian 16/type personality test I am observant, cool and highly pragmatic person. The test scores states that I am a rational thinker with semi-procrastinations and the best time of day that I am productive is in the evening. I am motivated to manage, trustworthy, relaxed and handles conflict very well. So I plan to pursue an industry with those attributes so that I am effective and every area of my career. I am very excited to pursue my MBA and hope that it will give me a great advantage and opportunity over others. With the time being spent in seeking my future I can receive my MBA and became a step above those with just a bachelor’s degree. An MBA is a marketable and multipurpose degree. Those who only have an bachelors keep themselves at a stable place and it is often hard to advance in their career path. They also make it hard to market themselves in other industries when a change is wanted or needed. Even if an MBA graduate has to start out in a place that is fairly less on the company ranking than they would like, there are remarkable opportunities for development with the degree. Those who only own a bachelor's degree may find they can only go so far in the corporate world, even if their skills and employment conduct are past reproach. With an MBA, the opportunities are practically endless, and graduate students can even assume the role of head economic officer with good job performance. Pursuing a MBA will also assist me with developing the understanding and meaning of decision-making skills including communication, promotion, tactical preparation, financing, and management abilities. While there are many other company programs existing by universities, the MBA degree is rivaled for its capability to increase excellent common business skills in students. Students find the MBA degree a smart option because they can go after a wide range of positions, aggressive salaries, and almost limitless opportunities for improvement. These are just a few of the rewards that having an MBA degree can provide. Having an MBA can help increase my knowledge and awareness of the importance of human resources in a company from retention, hiring and firing, employee benefits, compensation, payroll, business ethics and etc†¦It can also help those who have an entrepreneur mind set to further their know-how as to getting started on their business adventure. I am very excited to pursue my MBA and hope that it will give me a great advantage and opportunity over others. I am a strong, rational and dominant person and I hope to become a great manager and leading example in my industry. And I want to reach my full potential with my education as I possibly can.

Ancient Greece – Essay

In ancient Greece, Music was an important thing for the pattern and texture of Greek life. It was played at weddings, funerals, religious festivals, gatherings and etc. Although Ancient Greeks were familiar with a vast amount of instruments, they favored three particular instruments which are the Kithara, the Lyre, and the Aulos. Instrumental music or the singing of a hymn was included in everyday activities and formal acts of worship. Of Greek philosophers believe that there is a relationship between music and mathematics, as they envisioned music as a concept of harmonious order reflecting the cosmos and human soul. Many people in Ancient Greece had a liking for sports, most of the men and boys trained/played sports religiously. Olympia, which is a city in Greece, was a known place for athletics in Ancient Greece. The very first Olympic Games were held in Olympia and that was in 776 BC, therefore Greece is the home city for Olympic Games. The Olympic Games were played in honor of Zeus, who was a Greek God. The games were held every four years and it was a very important even for the Greeks. The tradition of Olympic Games still lives till this day. Woman in Ancient Greek were known to be secluded. They had no say in many things. These women went through many ordeals in their life. Most women in Ancient Greece didn’t have a right to decide whom they wanted to marry. Marriage for woman in Ancient Greece was like a transaction/ business exchange between two men. The circumstances of gaining inheritance were limited for a female. Wives could not inherit money from their husbands and daughters couldn’t inherit property from their fathers, one of the few ways a female could inherit property was through a male sibling. Also, in Ancient Greece, the social life of a female was limited to none. Most women were not allowed to participate in events that involved men. A wife’s social life’s was controlled by her husband. Do I need God to be moral or happy

Do I need God to be moral or happy The creation of earth and man has remained a mystery that has enabled religious commentators and scientists to put forward spirited theories to explain their existence. However, critics too have come up with facts challenging the reports by denouncing their authenticity. Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Do I need God to be moral or happy specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The existence of man and earth though can be traced to a deity with supernatural powers who out of his love, decided to create them. It is only this idea that has had supportive documents in the form of holy books such as the Koran, the Bible, and the Jews’ scrolls, etc that dates back to several years. Consequently, this paper offers proposed knowledge on life and the relationship between God and man. Existence of man is thus a well calculated art of invention that was carried out by God himself; hence man is a child of God. This would lead to the next perplexity which examines God’s possible identity. God is the father of man and created the earth so that man could find a home to live in thus God is supreme and holy. Man has power over the earthly gifts since mankind is an image of God. It is this special privilege that prompted God to provide and enforce his commandments in form of laws to govern every generation of man. Moses of the Old Testament was entrusted with the laws on Mount Sinai where rules and regulations guiding the human race were spelt out. Any opposition to these laws was therefore seen to be sinful. The origin of sin can trace back to the beginning of life when God’s first creation sinned against him after an encounter with Satan who duped them. Satan is the mastermind of sin and also the author of all evil on earth. It is believed that Satan was once an angel in heaven which is the throne of God, but was ejected for challenging God’s authority. Since Satan had nowhere to go to, he decided to come to earth and swore to make as many people as possible become rebellious to God as a way of seeking revenge. Due to this demonic intention, Satan has been seen to be behind every tribulation that has dogged man in the entire generation. God too has countered this wretched mission of Satan, by promising those who live righteously, for a better life through reincarnation and eternal life according to the Islam and Christian beliefs respectively. Those who shall have not changed by advocating for evil will perish according to the Muslim faithful or death by fire popular to the Christian beliefs.Advertising Looking for essay on philosophy? It leads us to the next detail on discretion; wisdom is as old as the earth itself. King Solomon of the Old Testament exhibited his wisdom by arbitra ting on a dispute between two women who were contesting on parentage issues. Having resolved the issue through his immense wealth of wisdom, Solomon was named the wise king and always used his knowledge to bring warring parties together. The kind of wisdom seen here is so ancient and relevant even by today’s standards. Wisdom is deep knowledge and basically grows overtime through age and experience encountered before, this makes the older generation wiser than the younger generation. Ancient wisdom is truly superior and should be the foundation of knowledge on earth today. It is clear then, that knowledge and evidence goes hand in hand thereby defining empiricism. It is from this conviction of facts that I consider myself an empiricist since I feel convinced that wisdom is not innate but knowledge acquired from experience. Knowledge can also be adopted through any form of learning and it is because of this factor that I conceive in God’s creation having got an opport unity of attending madras classes and an in depth information from the holy book of Koran. Having seen the importance of God in human life, the subsequent submission of man to the wishes of God leads to mental and spiritual strength. Both items arise from the human conscience which dictates on character and other traits. God’s plan is to save mankind from evil, its quiet obvious that moral sanity comes from good teachings. These teachings propagate on good values such as joy, honesty, love and so on. All these values are God’s gifts that can only attach to good people. It is pretty fine to say that God dwells in a peaceful place guided by good morals. Morality here refers to accepted behaviors in man usually guided by Godly teachings. For example, abortion is sinful according to the Muslim faith since life is sanctified by God. So, the act of abortion is immoral .on the other hand, ethics simply dictate on morality. For instance, rules guiding a work environment such as adhering to the dressing code show good ethics. It is apparent therefore that, morality is synonymous with good behaviors while ethics are the universally accepted codes guiding such behaviours. It is from these reasons that I offer my full devotion to God in my opinion as a true Muslim.

Adventures of IT Leader

â€Å"The Adventures of an IT Leader† is a book that is committed to point out the challenges and issues IT leaders come across that affect both personal and professional areas of their lives. The book is about a fantasy story of Jim Barton who was head in loans operation department and now the new Chief information officer (CIO) at IVK Company. The book was written by Richard Nolan, Robert Austin and O’Donnell. The book also explains the issues that Jim Barton encountered in the fictional IVK Company until he was finally assigned the role of CIO where he would be the IT manager in the corporation. Though Jim had no any background in IT, after so much research and consultations with his girlfriend Maggie and a lot of web search, he decides to take the job and implement all the ideas he was always telling the former CIO, Davies, to implement. The reshuffling   in the corporation was done because the company sales were going down as there was no significant growth as compared to other years. Due to this flat growth, Carl Williams was hired as the new CEO in IVK Corporation who in turn assigned Jim Barton as the IT manager. From the book it is clear that IT leaders or managers should all the time keep abreast with technology by bringing changes as well as development as it may be required for analyzing and scanning emerging technologies. There should be no time an IT leader will lose track of emerging technologies since technology trends are changing every now and then. The IT department should adapt new technologies on regular bases so that they can improve the productivity of the corporation by improving their services. This can also improve the skills of the IT team. The New skills will help improve the It department as well as achieve the efficiency needed to deliver their services. This will in turn improve the sales of the IVK Corporation and improve the growth. Implementing new technologies for managing, reporting and monitoring will also help in the management of the compliance of programs in the company.   There will be easy sharing and availability of information will be easier  (Austin, L .Nolan, & O'Donnell, 2009). The information will then be stored in a backup by the technological upgrades as well as data inputs. The employees should be given proper training so that they can help in identifying, learning as well as developing the emerging technologies. The training of the employees will release the company from the great losses they are experiencing and this in turn will highly help the company by improving its competition in the market  (Drew, 2015). The IT department need not to relax since the field is advancing so fast and their process should be current or in line with the current trends in the market. This will ensure all services are of good quality, customers are happy and the company will grow tremendously and be on its feet again  (Austin, L.Nolan, & O'Donnell, 2009). The Bernie Ruben’s questions which he raised about the blog and how to take action on the blog issues at the IVK Corporation are to be considered since they are part of the current day developmental and creativity trends in the advanced technology that has help in bringing in issues for a better business system.   The blog should have some strict guidelines in order to prevent such issues as personal interests from being transmitted from the blog as well as important information for the company. Blogging will also be reviewed by qualified experts to ensure it is of desired standard before it is even published.   The blog should only be handled by the personnel who are authorized so that there is liability for every issue that happens. Blogging is very important for the company because it allows a better branding and coverage which in turn will increase the productivity of the company  (Stangarone, 2014). The process that IVK Corporation should use to enforce the infrastructure standards that align to the standards. They should follow a well simulated strategy that will enable the corporation to improve the business system simultaneously to increase the standards of the software used as products. There should be a lot of focus when it comes to the estimated cost as well as the price earned from the clients when there is a successful implementation. When the cost is very high, there must be a thought to drop the plan  (Mair, 2015). There is IT standardization as well as innovation conflict in the IVK Corporation since there is no standardization policy. Due to this, there is no flexibility of IT Departments in IVK corporation as wells as the ability to respond to the highly competitive market. If the conflict is reduced, the productivity for the company will be improved  (Agrawal, Lacetera, & Lyons, 2016). The toolkit approach given by the kid for management is very suitable based on my knowledge. This is because in a changing as well as a very dynamic market setting, there is need of management appraisal for the techniques used  (Austin, L.Nolan, & O'Donnell, 2009).   This will be very necessary for the management of the IT department  (The District Management Council, 2014). This book (The Adventures of an IT Leader) through the reading and review has outlined that to succeed in the accomplishment of the new technologies. Therefore it is very necessary to do a pre planning process to ensure that the implementation is done in the right way. After the pre planning process there should be a framework put in place to ensure appropriate usage of resources and skills. Also improvement of the IT budget will be a greater achievement since it will shrink the organizational complications. This will be achieved by using strategic IT standards.
